The staff were very helpful and welcoming yet unintrusive on privacy etc.
All the electrical amenities were new, there was a lot of thought evident into the guests comfort and convienience.
I think that Roberto has found the perfect balance between a hotel and a well run hostel-very friendly, clean, comfortable, easy to use and you have a sense of living quite independently in the heart of Alghero.
To be honest, I can't think of how it could've been better.

We really enjoyed our stay at the blue dolphin, Roberto is very organised and helpful and it is clear to see he takes such pride in his B & B - absolutely spotless, was a little bit of a walk to the town , however it was a lovely stroll walking down the tree lined streets, and the apartment was in a nice quite spot - would definately go back to Alghero and the Blue Dolphin.

I really enjoyed our stay in Alghero and in Blue Planet B&B. There is great comfort in haveing the little 'studio-type' setup in the accomadation, with access to a kitchen etc, and Roberto was extremely helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay in Blue Dolphin. The place was very clean and modern. Roberto-our host was very kind and helpfull. Blue Dolphin itself is more like an appartment than typical overcrowded B&B. It is perfect for a family or two couples. Even if it's not in the city center it is in a walking distance from the old town, and close to shops, restaurants. Overall we recomend Blue Dolphin as a very nice place to stay in Alghero. All the best for Roberto. Ciao:)

The Blue Dolphine B&B is a great place to stay!
It's on the edge of the town, currently overlooking some olive groves & a smallholding growing fruit & vegetables.
The walk to the beach & the old town is about 15~20 minutes if you dawdle & look in the nice shops as I did each time. There's no main shopping centre, as town dwellers here are used to. The shops are spread along high streets, so you may have to look around & ask if you want something in particular.
There are supermarkets nearby, one about a minute away, & a larger one about 5 minutes away.
It's not far from a fantastic takeaway pizeria ~ the likes of which I've never seen ~ go in for the experience!
There are also bars & cafes nearby as well as plenty enroute to the old town, or the newer touristy area near the beach.
The accomodation itself is in two, two bedroomed apartments, each with a small kitchen & shared bathroom. It would be good for two couples or with children. The room I had, had a double & a single bed. Each room has a balcony, so it would be nice to sit outside in the evening ( winters are much warmer than here ~ I wore sandals in December, though it was wet on a few days. I'd advise a 5 day forecast before you go if you're intending to go out of the summer season ).
The breakfast is sweet cakes & crispbreads, & there's facilities to make tea & coffee. Food is cheaper than here, & it's easy to get nearby if you'd prefer something else in the mornings.
It's also spotless, as Roberto, the owner clean the apartment every day.
He speaks excellent English & is extremely knowledgeable about the town & surrounding areas.
There are maps and leaflets in the kitchen with information to look at too. Bus transport to other places nearby is available & there's also a good tourist information centre near the old town.
