IL BLUE DOLPHIN E' STATO COMPLETAMENTE RISTRUTTURATO NEL 2008. DISPONE DI STANZE CON BAGNO PRIVATO AL LORO INTERNO.
Le 3 stanze hanno il bagno privato al loro interno, sono luminose, comode, dotate di climatizzatori.
Sono perciò fresche d’estate e calde d’inverno!
La colazione, inclusa nel prezzo, è molto abbondante; l'angolo colazioni è sempre a disposizione degli ospiti.
SERVIZI INCLUSI
Il nostro B&B offre i nostri ospiti, senza alcun costo supplementare, oltre alla colazione, la biancheria per la camera da letto (lenzuola, coperte); gli asciugamani; l’asciugacapelli; lo shampoo ed il bagno schiuma. Le pulizie si effettuano quotidianamente.
Le tariffe includono anche trasferimento dalla fermata dell’autobus in arrivo dall’aeroporto (Piazza Mercede) al B&B.
DOVE SI TROVA
Il Blue Dolphin si trova ad Alghero, nella costa Nord-Ovest della Sardegna, la bellissima “Riviera del Corallo”.
Il Blue Dolphin è situato in un piccolo palazzo di due piani, molto tranquillo, COMPLETAMENTE RISTRUTTURATO NELL'APRILE 2008; è in una posizione favorevole, a pochi passi dalla via Principale (Via XX Settembre) lontano dal traffico quotidiano, vicino al cuore della città, il Centro Storico Gotico Catalano che si raggiunge facilmente percorrendo la centrale via XX Settembre (10/15 minuti a piedi).
Di fronte al Blue Dolphin c’è un supermercato, ed un altro più grande si trova poco distante (circa 5 minuti a piedi) sempre sulla stessa Via Marconi.
Vicino ci sono anche bar & caffè, pizzerie, il tabaccaio ecc..
Nel nostro B&B abbiamo numerose mappe e cartine della Sardegna e di Alghero ed informazioni riguardanti orari degli autobus e dei treni.
Ad alcune centinaia di metri si trova la Chiesa di "Sant'Agostino", punto d’incontro per i numerosi “pellegrini” che soprattutto in Maggio, in occasione del “Mese Mariano” percorrono a piedi la strada che dalla chiesa porta al Santuario di “Nostra Signora di Valverde” (circa 6 km).
La stessa strada è molto frequentata, inoltre, da numerose persone che praticano il jogging.
Dal B&B è possibile raggiungere facilmente tutti i luoghi di maggior interesse sia ad Alghero, sia fuori.
Infatti, percorrendo la perpendicolare alla Via Marconi, si raggiungono facilmente le spiagge cittadine e la Pineta “Maria Pia” (Via Lido) (5 minuti in auto).
Proseguendo sulla via Lido si arriva a Fertilia, una piccola borgata a 6 km da Alghero e oltre Fertilia si arriva alle stupende spiagge delle Bombarde e del Lazzaretto; poco distante si trova il Complesso Nuragico di Palmavera, che testimonia la passata civiltà nuragica (1800 – 500 a.C.).
Altro sito archeologico che è possibile visitare è la Necropoli ipogea di “Anghelu Ruju” (circa 300 a.C.).
ALGHERO: MARE E DINTORNI
Nel mare di Alghero è possibile fare delle indimenticabili immersioni per visitare le diverse grotte sommerse che si trovano nella Baia di Porto Conte (come la bellissima “Grotta di Falco”, una grotta sommersa – circa 15 metri di profondità- nella quale, una volta riemersi in una piccola stanza si può lasciare l’attrezzatura e fare una passeggiata all’interno della stessa per ammirare le stalattiti e le stalagmiti. Un’esperienza indimenticabile!!!).
Per chi ama, invece, nuotare liberamente e praticare lo “snorkeling”, non c’è che l’imbarazzo della scelta visti i numerosi reef che la nostra Riviera ci offre.
Un luogo molto suggestivo da visitare è indubbiamente la Grotta di Nettuno.
È possibile raggiungere la Grotta di Nettuno sia in barca (soprattutto in primavera ed estate) – e navigare nello splendido mare azzurro - sia in autobus. In quest’ultimo caso, una volta raggiunto il parcheggio, si arriva alla Grotta di Nettuno attraverso la scala detta “Escala del Cabirol” (scalinata del capriolo), una via ricavata nel fianco del suggestivo promontorio di Capo Caccia. La vista mozzafiato che si gode dalla scalinata è unica.
Alghero è anche storia. Visitate il centro storico gotico catalano e poi, poco fuori città, una testimonianza del passato: il Complesso Nuragico di Palmavera
RECENSIONI SUL BLUE DOLPHIN
Situated up a back street on the edge of Alghero with no view worth talking about, 'The Blue Dolphin' seems an unlikely place to find a little bit of heaven. But there it is; a beautifully presented large room with adjacent shared bathroom and kitchen might not qualify in most people's opinion as much to write home about but when the host is Senore Roberto and the immaculate cleanliness and attention to detail are taken into account, then, 'The Blue Dolphin' really comes into its own.
I have stayed in well rated hotels which do not compare to this B&B! In fact my last experience of Italian B&B led to my expectations of this property being well... low. It was wonderful to be proved completely wrong.
Roberto richly deserves every plaudit I can throw at him. From the first moment my wife and I entered the apartment building to the last time we closed the door (was it really just over a week ago?) we were treated as honoured guests for whom nothing was too much trouble. A rare thing in itself in these days when it seems that, more often than not, money alone dictates the warnth of a welcome.
Let me stress this is a B&B and not a hotel. But if you are in Alghero I challenge you to find a better place to stay at a reasonable price... unless you really want all inclusive luxury. We'll be back as soon as possible and who knows we might just meet you at some point. In the meantime: 'Ciao!'

We arrived late in the evening, to find out that our original B+B (owned by Roberto's sister) had been double booked. Initially disappointed, tired and wary of where we might be going, the lovely Roberto turned up to drive us to the Blue Dolphin. Our initial disappointment disappeared when we went inside, to find immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms, tons of space, and a 'help yourself' kitchen with drinks, biscuits, cakes on tap.
The location is a decent walk away from the town centre, but this wasn't really a problem, and I'm sure if we'd stayed longer we'd have figured out the bus routes and times, or just jumped in a taxi.
Roberto and his girlfriend were incredibly helpful, even driving us back into the town to find somewhere to eat. We ordered taxis the next evening to take us back to the airport, and Roberto was on hand again to make sure we got away in good time. He was prepared to drive us to the airport himself if the taxi was late.
We had such a great 24 hours, but it wasn't nearly long enough, so we're going to have at least 2 nights this year as our pre-Christmas treat.

The Blue Dolphin is ideal for those booking a short stay in Alghero. After our flight into Alghero we took the bus into town and were met by the owner, Roberto at the bus station. He drove us to the B & B which is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of the old town. The B & B is in a quiet location on the edge of town and is spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious enough and comfortable. You share a bathroom & kitchen with guests in another room. Breakfast is self service.
Fantastic value for money. Would definately return and would not hesitate to recommend this place to others.
